Visual Arts

We've shifted focus in 2015 from static, 2D images to more textures, multi-media and multi-dimensional works of art. We started this tranistion with simple pipe cleaner figures. We used them to explore dramatic poses. We built on top of them with modeling clay. This second element, was a bit of a disaster, the clay wouldn't grip onto the pipe cleaners and crumbled horribly upon drying. But the students soildered on and created some pretty interesting characters.

Having watched the film version of Coraline, a stop-motion animation version of the Neil Gaiman novel - we began experimenting with our own films.
